Being built...
After successful completion of 2 modular houses, we have started building another modular house, this time with a saddle roof. This house consists of 5 modules 9 x 2.5 x 3 meters. The floor area is 112.5m2 and creates enough space for 3 rooms, one living room connected with the kitchen, 2 bathrooms and storage rooms. The floor is designed in such a way that 2 separate units can be created, each with a separate entrance, own bathroom, equipment and facilities. Each room has own exit to the balcony.
The house is built on a slope, which is usually a disadvantage that increases the cost of construction due to the need to level the ground into the foundation slab. Here comes the advantage of using the steel MODULES for the construction. These modules are stored on 3 separate foundation walls, and thus the flooring of the modules creates a bridge of the foundation walls to replace the foundation plate. The difference between the height of the floor of the modules and the terrain is used for the construction of a cellar between the basements in the basement.
Fieldwork began in April 2017.
